In this aside from our Jesus in the Old Testament study, Dr. Bramson teaches about Jesus’ homecoming to Nazareth (Luke 4) where He went to the synagogue and read from Isaiah 61. A common interpretation says that Jesus was rude and interrupted the service. Does this sound like Jesus? A deeper look at the traditional synagogue service shows that Jesus was anything but rude. He acted as a visiting rabbi and announced that he was the Messiah.  The people marveled at his words. Then why did they try to push him off a cliff?
