In this lesson, Dr. Bramson discusses how the Lord satisfied the Israelites thirst during their years in the desert. In this occurrence (Ex. 17), the Lord directs Moses to take his staff and strike a rock. Water rushes out. In contrast, forty years later (Num. 20) the Lord directs Moses to speak to the rock in response to the people’s cries for water. Why the difference? What did Moses do? What were the consequences to his actions? Where do we find Jesus in this story?
