In this lesson, Dr. Bramson teaches about Jonah, the prophet, who God called to go and warn the people of Nineveh to repent. Instead of obeying, Jonah ran in the opposite direction, went through a perfect storm and ultimately landed in the belly of a fish. Was Jonah alive or dead while he was in the fish? (What clues did Jesus give us?) After three days, the fish vomited a stinky, smelly Jonah onto dry land and he finally decided to obey God. Following Jonah’s preaching, the Ninevites repented and God had compassion on them. Who is this story really about and what does it have to do with Jesus, salvation and the God of the Old Testament?
