In John 4:4, the writer records that Jesus had to go through Samaria on His way to the Galilee. What isn’t so obvious is that most Jews never traveled through Samaria. Why was that? In this lesson, Dr. Bramson takes us back to the time of the kings, when Israel became a divided nation. What happened to the northern kingdom? Who are the remnant of Israel? Who eventually populated the land vacated by the ten tribes? Finally, by taking a closer look at the language of John 4:4 as well has understanding the history of Israel, Dr. Bramson explains what is meant by “Jesus had to go through Samaria.”
